https://codeberg.org is a great git forge hosted in germany that looks like the only major non-evil github alternative.
i started moving my stuff to codeberg in early 2026 and plan to only use github as a mirror to avoid helping microsoft do the evil shit they tend to do. i highly recommend other people to also do a multi remote git versioning of their code.
